Felicia received a BA from Swarthmore College and JD from Fordham University School of Law. Before joining DRC, Felicia was co-Director of Pentacle (DanceWorks, Inc.), opening and overseeing Pentacle’s Los Angeles office. Felicia has served as a panelist for the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and the LA County Arts Commission.  She served on Steering Committee for the Arts for LA 2014 Convergence, and the New York City Department of Education Committee for Blueprint in the Arts. Felicia sits on the Board of Trustees of Dance/USA.  She also serves on the Koreatown Youth and Community Center Board of Directors and the Steering Committee for the Wilshire Boulevard Temple Karsh Center.

Alex is a Los Angeles-based arts practitioner with a background in teaching, arts administration, and art-making. She holds a B.A. in World Arts and Culture/Dance from UCLA. She graduated from the Southern California Leadership Network led by the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and the ACTIVATE advocacy fellowship in Cultural Policy through Arts for LA. For four years she served as the Program Manager for the Herb Alpert Award in the Arts, which annually distributes unrestricted prizes of $75K to mid career risk-taking artists. She has worked with Dance Resource Center since 2014. She also works as an independent consultant with artists and small arts organizations.

Born & raised in South Africa, Raélle immigrated to California, where she went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from UCLA World Arts and Culture dance/choreography program. Raélle is dance instructor/choreographer at Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles and is Associate to the Director at Cadence Arts Network. Raélle worked as Coordinator & Manager for Pentacle programs in LA and as Education Director at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. Raélle has performed at some of California’s most prestigious venues with Pacifico Dance Company and Fusion Dance Theater and serves on the board for Fusion Performing Dance Academy. Adept and most comfortable in the dance and music studio and on the stage, Raélle is dedicated to the performing arts and delighted to be part of DRC!

Susan Josephs

Susan joined the DRC team in 2016. Raised in San Diego and a graduate of UCLA, she has a background in dance, theater and journalism. She spent eight years covering dance locally and internationally for the Los Angeles Times and her arts journalism and other articles have appeared in over a dozen publications including Salon, LA Weekly and the Chicago Tribune. She is also the author of three plays and has collaborated as a dramaturge with choreographers and performance artists.

A Los Angeles native, Emily received her BFA in Dance Performance from the University of California, Irvine in 2010. During that time, she shifted her passion from performing to arts administration through her deep involvement with the UCI Dance Department. She worked with the Department Chair to develop the Undergraduate Advisory Committee, as well as produce a series of variations classes and showcases. After receiving her degree, she worked with the Laguna Dance Festival and Director Jodie Gates. Emily was fortunate to be selected through the DeVos Institute for an internship with the Dance Programming Department at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC in 2012. After returning to Los Angeles, she began working for the Dance Resource Center. Since then, she has additionally worked for the DRC, Pentacle, the Spotlight Awards, and other dance related non-profits.

Christy earned her B.A. in World Arts and Culture/Dance and Psychology from UCLA. She is interested in making connections between Dance and other disciplines, and using this knowledge for the betterment of others. After graduation, she started interning at the DRC and currently serves as the Assistant to the Director at Cadence Arts Network. She is excited to return to the DRC as the Program Associate, and is looking forward to serving the Los Angeles dance community!
